I vow to buy St Louis Blues tickets, someday
I’ve lived in St Louis for four years now.
When we first moved here, I had never been to a hockey game. I have always loved watching hockey, playing roller hockey as a kid and NHL ’94 on Super Nintendo (the wrap around always scores, too easy).
Since, I have been to approximately 20 games. I have yet to actually pay for a ticket. Pretty sweet deal.
Live hockey is a blast. It’s cold. Lotsa action. Fights sprinkled randomly into the mix. The fans are into it and typically not the corporate bums that pretend to like football when the Rams are winning games and sell their tickets to the Packers fans when they are losing.
The Blues used to suck, but they would always come out and compete. Last season, the kids showed they’ve got some skills and I think it may be a dynasty in the development stages. Perron, Berglund, Oshie, Johnson, if they can be kept around for a while, its going to be fun.
Very rarely do I get the feeling a player can score anytime they have the puck, Perron is one of those guys. Check out this ridiculous goal.
I was pretty close to pulling the trigger on a 10 game pack this season, but I started a new job, jiu-jitsu, gym, possibly back to school part-time, etc. has my schedule pretty full. Sounds like a great gift idea for me from any rich friends who want to contribute, though!
Actually, here’s a promise. Dave Checketts, if you buy the Rams, I will buy Blues season tickets, every year.
